Nicholas Fisher - Playtest Results_4/13


Hey all! Just wanted to let you in on the results of the latest playtest regarding the 3/27 build. 

  1.  Global: 
    1. Need a way to pause and exit to main menu. 
    2. Add ability to skip cutscenes?
  2. Main Menu: 
    1. Start and Quit buttons need text removed from them (can see the default button text under the new font) 
  3.  Intro:
    1. Don’t know if it's in the works, but there should be a button to advance the text.
    2. Postmaster needs updated border asset.
  4.  Post Board: 
    1. Need to add the new difficulty markers to the notes.
  5. Tetris: 
    1. Grid should probably be resized.
    2.  Packages can be moved past the left and right edges of the grid.
    3.  Game doesn't automatically progress once minigame is completed. 
  6.  Charting: 
    1. Game doesn't automatically progress once minigame is completed. 
    2. Target locations are always the same. 
    3. Background needs to be replaced with the pixelized version.
  7.  Asteroids: 
    1. Damage isn’t consistent. I was able to crash into some asteroids without taking damage. 
    2. Asteroid should be destroyed quicker on collision.
  8.  Delivery: 
    1. Extend background so that it goes to the top and bottom edges of the screen (comets go behind city and emerge in the black void underneath it) 
    2. Check rounding on the numbers that pop up after pressing the space bar (I managed to get -0.0999999999 and +-0.05)

All in all, I'm excited to see how far things progress as we near CURSCA and the deadline for the alpha build. Hope this helps!
