Level Maps Progress


The map and level drafting process has been much harder than expected, but a good amount of them are fully drawn out with some already being polished up by the art team. Some of the biggest hurdles fall into thinking up interesting layouts for players to explore, or designing rooms meant for combat that are not too open or too restrictive. Interiors are the main source of difficulty because of this, as they are the spaces players will explore most deliberately and thus require extra attention in their layouts.  However, the interiors that I have designed are ones that I am happy with for the most part, but a few have needed to be fully redesigned due to either story necessity, exterior building designs, or building purpose. There are still a few maps that need to be finished but I am receiving additional help on some of them because of our rapidly approaching deadlines.
