The lands and beasts of the Abyssal are wide and varied, and as such, they need to be differentiated. From the dusty yellow-green of the farms, to the dark greys of the factories, each area has a distinct color scheme to give them unique identities. Most of these areas are dull and dark, to ensure that interactables, NPCs, and enemies stand out. The major exception to this is the church area, which has pink as a major color to illustrate that this is a calm and prosperous area.
The same goes for our enemies. The Acne's acid-green pustules, the cold blue eyes of the Cysts, and the blood red gashes and bright-white bones of the Osteoma are all eye-catching, and serve to draw attention to them as threats.
