Matt McL - Dev Log #6
This week was a bit slow for me due to my creative writing class having a project due on Sunday.
I decided to focus on some smaller tasks I felt could get done a lot quicker than what I would normally work on. Most of the work I did involved looking over some things in the narrative department such as making item descriptions along with reading Nate's journal entries and giving him some quick feedback on them.
On top of this, I wanted to brainstorm some new ideas for in-game UI. One of the things our game was currently missing was a health bar. At this point we only have a green bar that reduces to nothing, I wanted to spice up that green bar which even looks like a placeholder asset by drawing up some potential health bars that could be displayed over enemies within the abyss. I made two variations of potential health bars but a lot of people seemed to like the bottom one. I still need to remake these in a less pixelated format but for now it'll hopefully give some more direction to other teams.
