Featured Work

This past sprint I worked on responding to feedback on the two enemies I designed, as well as mixing the theme for Grace.

Paul, the lead artist had given his feedback from an artist and programmer's point of view, mainly commenting on which aspects of the enemies were feasible, which things should be revised, and how one of my enemies, the Daddy Longleg, could be combined with another one of our potential designs. I responded to the feedback on how I would change the designs to meet his specifications.

Next, I received the Bus tracks of the first section of Grace's Theme from Dylan. I redid the levels of each track, panned them, and added EQ and compression to each of the tracks I planned on using. What I ended up with afterward was a much richer, fuller, and wider sounding track than what the default setting was that Dylan had given me. To finish, I trimmed the end of the track so that it looped nicely back in on itself.

Reflection

This past sprint was pretty manageable in terms of workload. I felt that I was able to complete all my tasks without too much trouble, and I was especially pleased with how the mix of the first section of Grace's Theme turned out. I look forward to doing more mixes like this.

Next Steps

Next, I hope to work more with the engineers on revising the features of the enemy designs I've presented. I have asked a couple of specific engineers to review the Github issues, so hopefully they get back to me soon. I also anticipate lots more work with finding SFX and balancing all of the levels.
