Joshua Haberzettl Devlog #3 - Magazines and Reloading
This week's devlog should be short and sweet.
This week I worked with the current shooting script so that instead of just shooting infinitely, there is a finite magazine that needs to be reloaded upon empty. Every time a bullet is shot, the magazine decrements and once it hits 0, the reload timer starts, during which time the player cannot fire. Once the reload timer is up, the magazine is filled back up to max capacity and the player can start shooting again. I also added R key functionality so that the player can press R to reload their magazine whenever they'd like as long as it isn't full. For finishing touches, I just need to put the variables that can be changed by items (mag size and reload speed) into the player script and hook them back up accordingly.
