Dev Log #1 - Tyler Pranger
For our current sprint, I worked on some concept designs for our main character, in order to help nail down her appearance in line with our Writing Team's view of the character . I had settled on one design before with my views, and then presented it to the writing and design team for any critiques, before going back and trying another type of design. Pictures of these concepts can be found above. I was also provided with additional concept art for our character, with possible color options to be used for the character's outfit. My hope by presenting these is to help the team settle on a design for the character overall, so we can move on to implementation.
Additionally, I worked on some ideas for possible in game ideas. One concept I have worked on so far to present was a possible collectible item in the form of a coin. I created this with pixel art, to practice working on shading and realistic designs for the style of our game. The coin's cracked gem was done to help add into the sinister environment of our game's main levels, and give a contrast to the clean look of our main character. I hope to create some more item designs, and work on getting any approvals into the final game.
