Level Framework (Industrial) - Alex D.
Hi all!
This is a sense for how the Industrial district is going to be laid out for the cardinal directions and if you take a look at the world designer Dan Degan's latest Devlog, you can see the overall framework that we have created for the city.
For the Northwest and Northeast areas of this district, this is where you will find the marketplaces and shops as well as some houses throughout. On the sides of the streets beyond the sidewalks will be the shops and markets for easy access to food and items as well as barrels scattered throughout while the houses will be a little bit further out but spaced enough so that there will be room to walk through those mini alleyways that they make. There will also be a factory or two in the Northeast area but not as many as in the Slums. They will be towards the corner of this area so the smoke coming from them stays away from the people living in their houses.
For the Southwest and Southeast areas of the district, this is mainly where you will find a church or two that the residents go to for worship and prayer as well as more houses to the left and right sides. There will also be a pub or two towards the Southwest end and these will be interspersed with the buildings for ease of access. The churches would be placed in between houses every so often as to not overindulge the residents but the barrels are still present near the sidewalks and streets.
