Ravosa Report - Map Module Prefab Update
Hello again! I'm sure you recall the horrible, bland prefabs that were previously being used to represent the map. Those prefabs contained a white background and arrows pointing in the directions of their doors. This past week I replaced those prefabs with more accurate representations of the city's streets. The complete set of street prefabs for a test district is shown below.
These prefabs look substantially better than my last set and have been created utilizing Unity's tilemaps feature. Keep in mind that these are only placeholders. The actual size of map modules is subject to change and the art most certainly will change. This week I will be speaking with the art department to get permanent textures to use for the street. Additionally, I will be asking them to create building sprites. The brick walls will be replaced with structures to bring the city to life.
The obstacle with this task is that every prefab must be edited individually. This will likely be a slow and tedious process.
