Buffs and Bloodlust Update - A Design Post by Eric
Hello again! It is Eric from the City of Abominations System Design team, and I am here to explain some of the new buffs that the player has while having low karma.
When the player has lower karma, the player has a 4% increase in attack speed, attack damage and movement speed. The player decides whether or not the player gets the buff, which depends on the karmic choices the player makes. This rewards the player in some way for taking extra damage from civilian projectiles due to low karma.
Below is an update on the bloodlust mechanic loop. When the player uses a shadow ability, it increases bloodlust because the it increases the player's urge to fight. Therefore using shadow abilities increase bloodlust to get to werewolf form quicker. The player's base bloodlust regeneration rate is 2 points per second and the meter maxes out at 100 points. When taking damage, The player's bloodlust regeneration rate increases by 3 points per second to become 5 per second. When the player uses a shadow ability such as shadow teleportation, The player's bloodlust increases by 8 points instantly. The player's bloodlust passively decreases by 7 points per second while in werewolf form. Once the bloodlust meter hits zero, the player transforms back to human form.
Thank you for staying with us, and hope to see what path you choose in the future! Please stay tuned for more design updates!
