Design Post - A Look at the Karma System


Hello again! System Designer Dillon here, with another look into the various systems implemented in Precipice Games's City of Abominations.

Today, I'll reveal a little bit of information on the karma system that is in the game.
Civilians within the city are unsure of the protagonist's motives at first, and will want nothing to do with them while there are monsters about. However, saving as many innocents as you can will spark a willingness to fight back against the monsters, and you may receive help from civilians in combat if you strive to be just. Fail to do so, or kill enough innocents yourself, and you'll be shunned and hated like the monster you are.
Of course, there is a power to be obtained in forsaking man for beast...
